Day 9

Rate this post

Today I woke up at 8.00 🙂 I did some washing and headed down for breakfast which I took on the terrace of the hotel. It was just perfect. The best I had in days. I then went for a short ride around Marbella and gave a good wash to the bike as it really needed it.

There was a slight issue before I could leave. It took some time to get the bike out from where I parked it as a Mini Cooper was king enough to park on the disabled parking blocking the exit. I thought people only do this in Hungary but it turned out it happens everywhere… No comment but congratulations.
For lunch I ate a bruschetta as I was no really hungry in this heat. It was 32 degrees in the shade! I bought some postcards and did some minor shopping before having an afternoon nap again. In the afternoon I sorted out my stuff and repacked everything after cleaning my topcase and panniers. I also has to repair my right mirror as someone was funny enough to play with it… and i took my time to make some pics at the beach while taking a short walk.
I headed to the port area to have dinner and I sat in front of a kebab stall (kebab and drink 4.50 EUR). I wanted to check out the Hungarian restaurant I found in the city but it was closed.
I Skyped with some friends before going to bed pretty relaxed and rested.

I left the hotel around 9.30 and went straight to Malaga. As they promised the spare parts expert should be in and i was hoping to get lucky with my hand guard. Unfortunately they said the usual: no parts at the moment but they can order it… I didn’t believe it. It only costs 30 EUR…

    Day 4

Must have been the large quantity of beer but I could not refrain from getting up for a pee at 4.00 in the morning. At first I did not fancy the idea I was so comfortable in my sleeping bag. But after 20 minutes of hesitation I finally gave up and surrendered to the call…

Today I left Valencia around 9.00 and headed inland towards Albacete. The road was wonderful. Small roads alongside riverbeds but I had to pay attention as in some places rocks were blocking part of the road. At one time I crossed a plane stretching for miles where the land was so flat one could not…

    Day 12

I set off from Cadiz at 10.00 and took coffee on the way out of the city in the shade of trees in a cafe. I took the motorway to Sevilla and had lunch there. I should have stayed there to explore but decided to push it further. It was already 30 degrees in Seville…

  • Day 8

Today I woke at 4.00 am! I just couldn’t sleep despite the fact that there was complete silence around the whole campsite. I just watched a movie in my tent. When the battery started to sun down I moved to the bathroom area and plugged it in then watched another one. In the meantime I…

    Day 16

The alarm sounded at 7.00. I had a good night – not counting that I had to get up two times as a side effect of the beer quantity I consumed – though it was pretty cold. As I left the campsite I rode through perfect roads running between tall tree lines. Then I headed north-east…
