There are not many places in the world where you can ride from cedar-forested mountain passes to desert dunes in a day. This nine-day tour promises to be a unique adventure unlike any you’ve undertaken before. Enjoy the exhilarating switchbacks of the Atlas mountain passes before heading into the Sahara Desert where you’ll spend a night in the dunes.
Some of the highlights of this trip include the cedar forests of the Atlas, Barbary apes, Dades valley, a night in the Sahara, the Ouzoud falls and the hidden oasis of Fint.
Day 1 : Arrival
Arrival to Marrakesh. Transfer to your hotel, where you will be able to settle in and relax by the pool to prepare for your trip the next morning. You will meet your tour guide and go through a welcome briefing as well as the formalities required before the start and you will receive your welcome pack.
Day 2 : Marrakesh – Bin El Ouidane (approx. 220 km)
Day 3 : Bin El Ouidane – Azrou (approx. 280 km)
Day 4 : Azrou – Errachidia (approx. 260 km)
Day 5: Errachidia – Merzouga (approx. 125 km)
Day 6: Merzouga – Boumalne Dadès (approx. 270 km)
We’ll wake before the sun today, to climb the dunes and admire a stunning sunrise before breakfast.
We return to the hotel, pick up our bikes and head to the Atlas. Our route will take us through deserted landscapes and some twisty sections before heading to the Todra Valley to ride beneath huge cliffs. We know you will be impressed. We will then ride our last leg to spend the night at the foot of the spectacular Atlas mountains in a superb hotel.
Day 7: Boumalne Dadès – Ait Benhaddou (approx. 210 km)
We will start our day by climbing to the most photographed hairpins in Morocco in the Dades Valley. On our way back, we’ll ride through Ouarzazate – the movie capital of Morocco – for our lunch break. On this day, the group has two options:
Either going to ride the hidden Oasis of Fint through some more technical off-road tracks and smaller river-crossing to get an insight to the lives of local villages and explore the oasis.
Or head straight to visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site and famous for the many movies produced there.
We’ll then heat to our hotel for a great dinner and some time to relax.
Day 8: Ait Benhaddou – Marrkesh (approx. 180 km)
This day will be the culmination of the week in terms of riding. Over 150 km of twisties through the Atlas on our way back to Marrakech. We’ll start the day with the scenic road through the Ounila valley toward the top of the Tichka pass at 2260m through smaller roads with limited traffic and stunning landscape. The second part of the day we’ll ride on brand new tarmac, large roads that feel like you’ve been handed free pass on a racetrack. Our last leg will see us descend to Marrakech and head to the workshop to return the bikes, before you’re transported back to the hotel. We’ll meet in the evening for a memorable farewell dinner in town.
Day 9: Departure
Depending on your flight time, you might take the opportunity to relax or visit the city for souvenirs before the arranged pick-up takes you to the airport.

Atlas to Desert was an excellent adventure. Morocco itself lived up to my expectations and Wheels of Morocco did a great job in hosting us. The tour was well planned and organized, ridden on quality bikes, and supported well by great staff. Pleased to recommend this tour to anyone interested in experiencing a most enjoyable adventure.Posted on Google![]()

The Atlas and Desert tour was nothing less than amazing. It was a week full of adventure and fun. Wheels of Morocco provided us with motorcycles that are more than capable of handling the different types of terrains we came across. The guides Abdo, Amine and Safa, were very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, fun, and made sure we all had what we needed, knew what to expect next, and took plenty of memorable photos. Our group consisted of 10 riders not including the two bikes Abdo and Amine rode. They made sure we all stayed together while at the same time allowing us to ride our own rides following our own comfort level and experience. The trip was fun, memorable, and most importantly left us wanting more. I will reserve with Wheels of Morocco again with no hesitation. Our accommodations were truly 5 stars hotels and included amenities that made the trip feel luxurious. The food was great, the spaces were top notch, and Abdo made the needed arrangements before hand so what we wanted was available for us. Amine took over to make sure those of us in the back knew what is ahead when we got separated from the rest of the group. Amine also was our camera man and he documented all sorts of moments for us. He knew where to be to take gorgeous shots that captured individuals as well as entire group. Safa followed us in the support vehicle and she is also an experienced rider and motorcycle gearhead who can provide tips and tricks as needed. Safa made it possible for us to remove or add layers as the weather changed. She somehow managed to stay with the group considering how motorcycles can get through traffic easily. We look back or stop and there she was. All in all we had an excellent trip where we explored Morocco in an exceptional way. Thank you Wheels of Morocco, and especially thank you Abdo, Amine, and Safa for making it very memorable. Looking forward to more adventures with you guys.Posted on Google![]()

Joined the Atlas and Desert tour in Sept. A fantastic trip, with a well thought out and varied itinerary and route. Great mix of smooth tarmac, not so smooth roads, tracks & mountains and desert vistas. Bikes were in great condition and well supported. Abdou & Amine were great hosts and the vibe was easy going and professional. Hotels were a welcome touch of luxury each night. Good comms, good organisation, fantastic value for money. Thank you for a great trip.+9Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Wheels of Morocco if you want to have a spectacular time traveling across Morocco by motorcycle. The hotels were all top notch, food was great, coffee stops at random places along the route were cool, and our guides Abdou and Amin were awesome. Motorcycles were all in great shape and performed flawlessly. The highlight for me was our stay in Merzouga at a Sahara Desert camp. Bucket list item done- ride motorcycle in Morocco and put my bare feet in the sands of the Sahara.+4Posted on Google![]()

Just got back from an AMAZING Atlas and Sahara tour May 10-19. Great Bikes (well cared for and maintained), great food, great accommodations and most importantly amazing experience. From booking everything with Victoria to our tour guides Abdou and Amine (these guys live and breath motorcycles are great fun to chat with and play a few games of pool or ping pong with in the evening) Wheels of Morocco is a no brainer for motorcyclists that want to explore the best of Morocco. From tea/coffee breaks, lunches, fuel stops and hotels. Everything works like a well oiled machine. While you just ride and enjoy the amazing scenery ( lots of twisty roads, scenic passes and desert fun). Have already recommended Wheels of Morocco to all my friends and will definitely be back for another tour. Can’t thank them enough for such an amazing time.+7Posted on Google![]()

The perfect way to see some of the best of Morocco in one week. Best to spend a couple of days in Marrakesh before the tour and then head to the mountains and desert. The team are very professional and the itinerary is just right. The hotels were excellent. Good choice of bikes and we opted for the big GS with my wife on the back. April/ May was ideal and we had great weather with only one hot day. I highly recommend Wheels of Morocco for a hassle free experience.+5Posted on Google![]()

So, this is how my second adventure with Weels of Marocco ends for an 8-day motorcycle trip through Morocco... From the mountains to the Middle Atlas, passing through the desert, the Atlas plateaus and the Tichka Pass, everything came together to enjoy a magnificent landscape, superb roads with winding turns to feast on. We were able to create new friendly relationships in a group as improbable as it was friendly, thanks in particular to the kindness, sincerity, authenticity and benevolence of the Weells of Marocco organization and in particular to our two wonderful guides Abdou and Amine❤️❤️❤️ I highly recommend everyone to share this experience with Viki and Grég from Weels of Marocco Sebastien+2Posted on Google![]()

I have just returned from the Atlas and Sahara Desert tour. Prior to this I had watched numerous videos about the Wheels of Morocco tours. However, nothing can prepare you for this amazing country and experience that awaits you. From the twisty roads, the spectacular scenery, the first class accommodation, and the people that you meet. WOM are at the top of their game for adventure tours, and this can only be achieved by their excellent staff. They are well experienced motorcycle riders, and nothing was too much trouble. If you are a biker, this tour is one of the things you must do in your life! Special thanks to Amine, Abdou and Oscar. Nigel HolderPosted on Google![]()

I spent 9 days with WoM doing the Atlas and Desert tour. All I can say is it was amazing. The tour was well organized, the bikes were in good condition, the hotels and meals were great. I can not say enough good things about Abdou, Amine, and Oscar, our guides on this trip!! From the briefings in the mornings and evening explaining where we would be riding, always with the emphasis on safety, to having all the tools and spares needed to tackle any technical emergency, and to generally leading this tour with knowledge and confidence. I would highly recommend WoM to any one planning a motorcycle tour in this wonderful country.Posted on Google![]()

Had an excellent week on the Atlas and Desert tour. Abdou and Amine were excellent leaders and always there to advise and support. I really appreciated the extra effort it took for them during Ramadan and am very thankful for all they did to ensure a wonderful trip. I would have zero hesitation to return to Morocco for another trip with WOM, or to recommend to anyone wanting a really special getaway. Thank you!+2Posted on Google![]()

My friends and I spent 2023 researching motorcycling tour companies that operate in Morocco, speaking to some at the ABR Festival. We chose Wheels of Morocco (WOM) because they offered a wide range of tours and bike options, availability of direct flights to Marrakesh where WOM are based and their customer feedback is excellent. It’s after the ride ends that I understand what I have just experienced riding the Desert & Atlas tour with WOM…..and wow what a ride we had. Greg, Amine & Abdoul delivered a first class service, they worked tirelessly as a team to provide the ride of a lifetime experience for all; on our tour there were returning customers which indicates that WOM are providing an outstanding service. The time and effort WOM put into making their rides the best they can be is evident in the quality of the riding experience. The bikes are well prepared and perfectly suited to the roads and terrain, all the hotels were excellent. Greg the team work hard to make the riding days run smoothly, nothing we asked of them was too much trouble. Greg (and the team) provided a detailed ride briefing each morning, explaining lunch and evening food options, advice on the road conditions, what to expect on the short gravel road sections, acting as guides at the sightseeing stops and tour photographers. Pre ride the communication with Viki was excellent; we asked many questions and received prompt answers, Viki made the pre ride process easy. Would I go back to Morocco, yes, would I go with Wheels of Morocco, absolutely. Greg, Amine and Abdoul are inspiring motorcyclists and Morocco has inspired me to return soon. You can trust WOM to deliver a fanatic holiday; there is simply no reason to consider any other motorcycle tour company operating in Morocco. Thank you WOM. Andy Watts+1Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Wheels of Morocco, Just completed the 9 day Desert and Atlas tour, the guides were extremely helpful and knowledgeable helping with the daily organisation such as where and when to stop for breaks. The hotels were excellent and a wonderful variety of types. The group from a wide area of the world all gelled together and that was in a large part due to the guides. The roads and scenery were incredible, the colours, mountains, plains and the desert were awesome! Thanks to Greg, Abdul and Amine, not forgetting Viki in the office who patiently answered our questions prior to the trip.Posted on Google![]()

I have just finished the 9 day atlas to desert tour, i can Highly recommended this one it was excellent in all areas. What a fantastic trip led by tour guides Greg, Abdoul and Amine all experienced riders who looked after the group intently on the ride and at the hotels with their local knowledge so this makes your life easier. The bikes are well maintained and looked after throughout the tour by the guides with tools and spares carried on the support truck which also carries the luggage so you don't need to have it on the bikes. The tour provided a good mix of road surfaces, scenery and historic places to visit, riding is at the pace you feel comfortable at and they will wait if your too busy taking in the scenery. On the lead up to the tour Viki provide great comms and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. I cant rate WoM highly enough. Try Morroco its an amazing country to ride in and to experience... Thanks to the Team ,,,Greg, Abdoul, Amine and Viki for a great trip, i have some fantastic memories,,,,,,thank u+0Posted on Google![]()

Having agreed that our next Group motorcycle adventure would be to Morocco, and that it should be an organised and guided trip, the search was on for a reputable Motorcycle Tour Company to meet our requirements. We very quickly selected Wheels of Morocco based upon the online Customer reviews and the range of itineraries they offered to suit all desires, from the mostly off-road oriented adventures to more scenic and cultural experiences. Their 9 day Atlas and Desert tour ticked all the right boxes not only in terms of visiting the top places to visit in Morocco, e.g riding through the Atlas mountains, the Oasis at Aoufous, the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, riding up the famous hairpins of Dades Valley, the amazing twisting and turning roads of Tizin’ Tichka Pass, but also for the perfect balance between roads and options for short off road excursions to ride up to vantage points for scenic panoramic views, such as the Gara Medouar crater, famously used in the James Bond film Spectre and more recently the BBC drama SAS Rogue Heroes. Another key factor in choosing Wheels of Morocco was their location. As most of our group are in full time employment, time off work and away from partners is limited so being able to start and finish the tour in Marrakesh made the logistics easier (plenty of flights in and out Marrakesh), thereby minimising time spent travelling to start the tour. It also meant that the tour guides were all locally based and therefore very knowledgeable with the area, which was very welcomed and invaluable during the trip. Once we had booked with Wheels of Morocco the questions started arising, such as can we fix things to the bikes for carrying day luggage or camera mounts, what does the insurance cover, what and where is the best way to change money in Morocco (Morocco is a closed currency which means you can’t buy it outside and take it in), how much cash will we need etc, all of which were very quickly answered by Viki, usually by return Email. By the time it came to depart for Marrakesh we were well prepared thanks to Viki. On arrival in Marrakesh we had a welcome a brief, where Greg, the tour leader, introduced himself and the team, Abdul and Amine, and we got to meet the other riders. Greg provided a safety brief and an introduction to the basic rules of the road, and talked about the itinerary for the following day, which he did every morning during the tour as we gathered around the bikes eagerly anticipating the off and another day of amazing riding and adventure. On the road Greg rode at a comfortable pace, managing to strike a perfect balance between those who enjoyed a faster pace, whilst not losing those who chose to ride at a slightly more sedate pace to allow them to enjoy the views, and there was always Abdul or Amine at the back to ensure no one got lost. The bottom line is, you can ride at your own pace without fear of being left behind. The hotels were fabulous, clean and comfortable and like a little oasis at the end of a hot days ride, usually with a welcome beer and dip in the pool. The bikes, I rode a Yamaha T7, were great and ideal for the conditions. They were obviously well maintained and didn’t miss a beat throughout the whole trip, although Abdul and Amine were on hand if necessary. On collecting the bikes from the Wheels of Morocco premises on the first day, tools were made available for attaching things to the bike, like the fixing straps that I had for my Kreiga US-10 pack. This really was a fantastic trip and I cannot write highly enough of Wheels of Morocco, the whole experience from booking, to all the administrative arrangements, the itinerary, the hotels, the staff, the bikes and the memories, nothing was too much trouble for the team to sort out. I’m so glad we chose Wheels of Morocco, I would recommend them without hesitation. My thanks to Viki, Greg, Abdul and Amine for a most memorable trip.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend WOM tours having just completed their atlas and desert rose 9 day tour. The tour leaders strike an excellent balance between guiding whist letting you ride independently. The scenery is spectacular as you would expect. Motorcycling is a great social leveller and folks from all walks of life were brought together by WOM. Cheers Greg and your team.+0Posted on Google![]()

The Atlas & Desert Tour exceeded my expectations in all respects. I chose Wheels of Morocco based on various factors including their professional and informative website, itinerary, maximum group size, the fact that the company is based in Morocco, and the multitudes of good reviews. WOM did not disappoint, from my initial enquiries and communication with Viki (who always answered extremely quickly) right through to the end of the trip. Everything was well organized and my bike was in excellent condition and faultless throughout the tour. All accommodation was of a very high standard and you could see that a lot of time and effort had been invested in scouting out both the route and the accommodation. Abdou our guide and Amine the support truck driver were very informative, personable and always happy to help. The tour was well structured so there was plenty of riding time but you also arrived at your accommodation each day in plenty of time to relax/swim etc. before dinner. The variety of landscapes we saw over 7 days of riding was amazing. I also liked that we stopped at local and smaller restaurants/cafes for coffee breaks and lunches rather than big establishments catering for mass tourism. If you're looking to ride a motorbike in Morocco on a tour with a great itinerary, professional guides, excellent accommodation and quality bikes and support, then WOM is a fantastic choice.Posted on Google![]()

I had with Greg and Abdul 3 tours in total: By March 2019 Atlas and Desert tour what was my first motorcycle tour out of Europe - to be honest, I was very happy to make it with Greg as I was not ready at all to make something as this on my own. In Feb 2021 we tried Challenging roads were all kind of surface, all kind of weather are coming together and creating a lot of fun in any situation. Truly tuff tour but as well one of the most beautiful offering fantastic desert scenarios. Finally in November 2022 I went for Atlas offroad tour - nearly as beautiful and challenging as previous tour, however the scenarios of the landscape from 3000m are just wonderful (you really feel as to be on the top of the world). In general many thanks to Greg, Abdul and Viki for all what they do - it always feel as coming back to see the old friends 🙂 Pavel& AminaPosted on Google![]()

Wheels of Morocco was fantastic. We went on the Desert and Atlas tour and had a blast. The route was amazing, great maintained roads, the best scenery and lots of hidden gems along the way. I can’t speak more highly of our guide Abdou. He was patient, accommodated all riding experience and made sure the entire group was happy. The motorcycles are in tip top shape as they are well maintained between tours. If something happens to your bike on the way they have the ability to fix it on the spot. The hotels are among the best and really integrate you into the culture. Restaurants that are picked out really give you a chance to taste the best food Morocco has to offer. I would absolutely go back and try a different tour with this group in the future.+4Posted on Google![]()

I did the Atlas and Desert tour for Nov-Dec 2022. Viktoria, Greg, Abdou and Amine were great with communications and ensured our well-being from the beginning till we said our sad goodbyes. Although the trip was for 9 days, it flew past too quickly with all of us looking forward to every day’s riding, food and fun. The routes included fast empty roads, going through villages and quaint towns, twisty tarmac, hard and soft pack, mountain passes and even sand and a little stream crossing. The Wheels of Morocco Team always emphasised safety first and knew the routes like the back of their hands. If you like riding bikes and are thinking of a ride of a lifetime, you will probably need to look no further!+11Posted on Google![]()

Probably the best option for wonderful riding memories in Morocco. I went on the Atlas and desert tour in December 2022. Greg and his team have been very friendly and accommodating. The organization was top notch, bikes were like new, selected hotels were very comfy and the food was delicious. Our group also appreciated the fact that our guides would always go the extra mile to make us happy while ensuring our safety throughout the 1 week journey. Abdou and Amine are amazing guides and souls! Thank you all and see you again soon I'm sure.+1Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

re-booked already! What a great trip! WoM know the country inside-out. Organisation, leadership and support was second-to-none. Greg and Abdou make a great team. Morocco has it all; great roads, incredible scenery, good food and friendly people. The tour took in so many landscapes; cedar forests, the stunning mountainscape and of course the desert, which really was something else. The roads are mostly super grippy new tarmac, with plenty of twisties and flowing bends. Already re-booked for a long weekend tour for next spring!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Desert and Atlas Tour I've been organising my own tours for many years but thought I'd give a guided tour a try, I'm glad I did. Morocco is an amazing country with some of the best roads I've ever ridden and I've ridden all over the world. Viktoria handled the booking, payment and communication really well, Abdou took care of the logistics and called the airport a dozen times until they found my lost luggage (thanks again) and Greg was a great guide, photographer and tour leader. I have a GS at home so opted for a Tenere 700 which turned out to be a great choice, quick enough for Morocco and very agile. We rode mountain passes as good as any you'd find in The Alpes, through forests and of course the desert which was my personal favourite. The diversity of the roads and landscapes you experience in 7 days is truly amazing. The hotels were comfortable and had lots of character, the food was great and even if we were in a "dry hotel" Abdou would always manage to find us beer somewhere! I loved every minute of the trip and will very likely be back to do the Challenging Roads tour. Thanks guys, hopefully see you again soon.Posted on Google![]()

Did the Atlas & Desert tour over 7 days in October '21 very well organised - good accommodation and flexible enough to cater to individuals needs, even though we had a full group. Pace was great, I don't think anyone ever felt hurried nor held back. Highly recommend it - the local scenery and people are wonderful.+1Posted on Google![]()

The Atlas and Desert ride that I have just finished with Wheels of Morocco was fantastic. Well organised with lovely accommodation and stunning scenery. The local knowledge of Greg and Abdou is excellent and added even more to the experience. Riding in the Atlas mountains was a joy, flowing quicker roads and tight twisty stuff all handled easily by the BMW GS800 I was aboard. Nothing was too much effort for Greg and Abdou which made for a relaxed and fun trip. I can thoroughly recommend Wheels of Morocco, right from the excellent communication with Vicki while booking the trip through to the amazing photos and videos taken by Greg that were shared to the group in full resolution. I would jump at the chance to do another ride with Greg and Abdou. Thanks and good luck in the future!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()
