Day 9

Rate this post

Today I woke up at 8.00 🙂 I did some washing and headed down for breakfast which I took on the terrace of the hotel. It was just perfect. The best I had in days. I then went for a short ride around Marbella and gave a good wash to the bike as it really needed it.

There was a slight issue before I could leave. It took some time to get the bike out from where I parked it as a Mini Cooper was king enough to park on the disabled parking blocking the exit. I thought people only do this in Hungary but it turned out it happens everywhere… No comment but congratulations.
For lunch I ate a bruschetta as I was no really hungry in this heat. It was 32 degrees in the shade! I bought some postcards and did some minor shopping before having an afternoon nap again. In the afternoon I sorted out my stuff and repacked everything after cleaning my topcase and panniers. I also has to repair my right mirror as someone was funny enough to play with it… and i took my time to make some pics at the beach while taking a short walk.
I headed to the port area to have dinner and I sat in front of a kebab stall (kebab and drink 4.50 EUR). I wanted to check out the Hungarian restaurant I found in the city but it was closed.
I Skyped with some friends before going to bed pretty relaxed and rested.

    Day 11

Departure was around 10.00 in the morning and I headed for Gibraltar. While stopping for a coffee at a petrol station a tour bus driver had a bad day and thought it’s best to pick a fight. Although there was like a square mile of free space he just had to stop next to my…

  • Day 5

Today morning was surprisingly chilly. I mean by the standards I got used to in the last couple of days and obviously not the home standards where temperatures are still below zero during the night at this period of the year. It was 11.5 degrees and the air was rather humid.I couldn’t leave before 8.00…

    Day 4

Must have been the large quantity of beer but I could not refrain from getting up for a pee at 4.00 in the morning. At first I did not fancy the idea I was so comfortable in my sleeping bag. But after 20 minutes of hesitation I finally gave up and surrendered to the call…

  • Day 15

Today I woke up quite late for my standards and had a headache from the drinks I had yesterday. I spent some time to clean and pack my gear. I left Marbella to head North through Madrid. On the way I stopped in Malaga at the airport Starbucks and had a great coffee. I took the motorway to eat up…

I left the hotel around 9.30 and went straight to Malaga. As they promised the spare parts expert should be in and i was hoping to get lucky with my hand guard. Unfortunately they said the usual: no parts at the moment but they can order it… I didn’t believe it. It only costs 30 EUR…
